Track Name: A Lot of Nothing
I know we've got a lot to do
I know I've got you
She said I'd like for you to stay
Are those really thoughts going through my brain?
And then she looks to be a part of me, every morning
I cannot awake
Track Name: Hell
My town crawling with laughing girls falling down
Your bangs kept falling
Hell, I stopped coming around
I'm not the kinda guy who looks at every missed connection like a bullet that he dodged.
I let a couple of them do their thing, and there's a couple sticking in me.
And now it's time to explain where they came from.
Hell is a photograph, my man.
And her name's advice, my man.
It's in the letter in the book on the nightstand.
Hell- when there's nowhere else to go.
But you're not quite there, I know.
It started all those years ago.
Hell is a photograph yeah
Hell is a shoebox trap yeah
Hell is a costume party far away from home.
Hell is a photograph, yeah
Hell is a parking lot, yeah
Hell is a restaurant on Old Route 319.
Hell- ain't no coming back.
I am coming back
It's coming back with me.
Track Name: Mary Ann
Mary Ann, what's a girl to do with all your heart ache
All your anger, all your style
When everything is so bright and touched with such transcendence
Cosmically it's pretty wild
There's always something to be sad about
But only when you're singing..
Mary Ann, all within, without, but all remains
Ah, you're hanging on the wire
Can't react to the moving Om but ever still
I hardly ever see you smile
There's always something to be sad about
But only when you're singing it
There's always something to be sad about
But only when you said..
Mary Ann, do words come slow to those that think of you?
Mary Ann...
Track Name: Pockets
Find me laying face down in the middle of the street
On stainless steel and gasoline
Will you roll me over?
Look me in the eye and talk about the static on your screen.
Put my crazy head through snowy TV.
Roll me over.
When your bridge collapses the paperwork looks clean.
I'm pulling up my landing gear
from the handshake to the headache to the remake
where I'm cutting my teeth.
Oh, oh, oh were we talking about my job?
Or were we talking about my mind?
It's fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine,
I'm good enough to meet you here, my dude. It's good to see.
The snowfall licks eternity, so let's talk.
Talk it over.
My new trend turns me on.
Are you starting to depend?
Are you starting to depend on?
Are you starting to believe?
Are you starting to remember?
Track Name: Something That You Know
I know when everything has gone away a left to be with you
I know there's nothing more than silly words I left outside your door
And what is really true, who's to say there is a me and you
When all is said and done
I know it's something that you know
Something that you know
I know things are a bit askew, I don't know, is there something I can do
But I believe in you and me
And I know that's something that you know
Something that you know
And all these sticky truths, little games, and all that's said in proofs
I know these little words say nothing more than what's unheard
I know that everyone has gone away, is off and gone
But what it nothing's true
But I know it's something that you know
Something that you know
Track Name: Noisy Comes Home
Well can she see your winter eyes
I believe I've seen the light of day
Who came home now
Can they see you
Lovely Sundays
Be right back soon
And I know where you've been
And I sit with my head spin
Am I wrong to revert
Back to the sounds that reverb(erate)
Well can she see your winter eyes
I believe I've seen the light of day
Noisy comes home
They can see you
Damn it's freezing
Don't believe you
And I know where you've been
And I sit with my head spin
Am I wrong to revert
Back to the sounds that reverb(erate)
Track Name: White Lines
White lines on the pavement.
I stand beside and I listen to your warning.
In the morning, on the pavement-
a busted window, a flooded basement.
White Stripes were on the radio that summer.
I took it on a line. I took it on a weakling's eyes.
She's a bike, not a Bimmer, a Baptist- ain't a dreamer... and shy.
Transparents, all the stations.
And my intention to crackle on the fire.
White lines come between us.
You should have seen us alive that day.
Track Name: Lift the Sky
In the ever changing now, I notice you somehow
Every morn I lift my head out of oceans, yet I know
She is sleeping by my side
Call it random like the stars, for it's much, too much to think about, yet
I know that you're around
What's within you, see
Worlds without you be
Lifting your hands toward the sky
And ya say was/will be/now
Lift the sky
Turn away from me
That's all right
At this time
A drop in the vast sea
Change your mind
What's within you, see
Worlds without you be
Lifting your hands toward the sky
And ya say was/will be/now
In the ever changing now, I notice you somehow
Lift the sky, lift the sky
Change at any little sign
Lift the sky, lift the sky
Think up one more word to rhyme
Lift the sky
Lift the sky
Track Name: Motel 6
Pushing on the backseat car, staring at the front seat smolder,
how am I gonna get around this time?
I had a weekend that I can't fix.
Another plan, another Motel 6.
Reminds me of the time I took the Greyhound home.
Sat with an Iroquois, returned from Mexico.
Andrew Blacksmoke at his story's end, did you see him?
My buddy Mike always knew when to stop.
Til he got lifted and he buzzed a lady cop.
Like the throwdown in the redneck bar,
came out on top and left her crying in her squad car.
Reminds me of the story of Rosa Saks,
and the girl from Pensacola, laid in pieces on the train tracks.
She was trying to get off the grid.
Hey like I said, it was a train that did her in.
Track Name: Song About Max
Oh Max
Sing a song about Max
All the things that he does and all the things that he says to me
When I get home from a long, long day of work, oh
What does the big guy see
What's that?
Just a big black cat
Oh Max
Sing a song about Max
When he's watching the leaves as they fall from the trees
And all the things that he does with Penny
Like sleeping on the couch after a long day of sleeping
Sounds pretty good to me
Track Name: Ghost
I suppose he's just lonesome for his ghost
when the morning comes. He sums up everyone who sucks with abandon.
A bright young man in the hallway
in the highschool with euphonium in hand
when they left him for the mountain, and the gum upside the fountain.
I heard that there's a river outside my town.
Track Name: Glass Cannon
Working on your face so hard, you're pretty.
They all want a piece of you tonight.
And maybe you were banking on, and I'm hoping it works out.
If it takes some time, that's alright.
Why are you in my car?
I'm not that much like you.
I'm neither young, nor desecrated.
Unrelated to "the one."
How come we're doing shots out on our lunch breaks, and on weekends, on your phone?
Glass Cannon, let's get you home.
Track Name: Devious/Tedious
All his smokes got smashed. It jogs the story of the crash.
Although it happened in the summer, he had on a jacket.
If not for the bone stickin' out of his arm,
he's not somebody you'd remember.

(Slowing down,
standing lifelike blue
and flickers like a star
or maybe not.)
He takes a walk around the city with his helmet spilled all over his face
like disguise, but his eyes still burning.
Yeah his arm swings down with the bone sticking out.
He's just waiting for the waiting to call him.

He's in and out like a bad bulb projection
of a map of a town. On her face said rejection.
He takes me back to the front of the diner to tell me something
and I turn around and he's gone. And I wake up with a song.

I was tired; I wasn't making sense.
I been talking crazy- talking tedious.
I look at you; you look away. Out into ones and zeroes.
Best my guess as skinny ol' boy
My last best hope is in ones and zeroes.
While you stare off into space, I look through books about this place.
While you stare, I heard that there's a river.
I heard that there's a river outside my town.
